Hand building with Clay - Term 4

Hand building with Clay<br><br>This 5-week course is a creative introduction to working with clay by hand. You’ll learn the three fundamental techniques — slab, coil, and pinch — and use them to make your own projects with my help and support.<br><br>Bring your own ideas or find inspiration in class — from functional pieces to sculptural forms. In the final session, we’ll also explore simple underglaze techniques so you can add colour and character to your work.<br><br>Suitable for both beginners and those with some clay experience who want to extend their skills.<br><br>Course fee: $250 (clay and firing costs additional)<br>Tools are provided for use during class.<br><br>Your finished pieces will be ready to collect about 3–4 weeks after the course.<br><br>Course dates: Tuesday evenings, 5:30 – 8:00pm, starting 7 October for 5 weeks.<br><br>maximim 6 participants <br>Age 18 plus<br>

Beginners Wheel Throwing – Level 1 - Term 4

Beginners Wheel Throwing – Level 1<br><br>Ever wanted to try your hand at the pottery wheel? This 5-week beginner course is the perfect place to start. You’ll get step-by-step guidance as you learn how to centre clay, throw simple forms like cups and bowls, and refine them through trimming and handle making. In the final session youll learn to colour your pots with simple glazing techniques, makeing your pots safe and durable for everyday use.<br><br>The course fee of $300 includes all clay, glazes, and firing costs. Each participant can finish and fire up to four pieces, with additional items available to keep at $15 each. Tools are provided for use during class.<br><br>Your finished pottery will be ready for collection around 3–4 weeks after the course.<br><br>Term 4 dates:<br>Sundays 10.00am – 12:30pm<br>12 October – 9 November<br><br>Maximum 6 participants<br>Ages 13-16 are welcome with a participating adult<br>
