Marbled Clay (Neriage) Workshop
Discover the beauty of neriage – the Japanese technique of marbling coloured clays together to create striking patterns that run right through the clay body. Unlike glazes that sit on the surface, neriage brings colour into the very structure of your piece, giving it depth and richness.<br><br>In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll:<br><br>• Learn how to mix stains pigments into clay<br>• Explore different arrangements of colours<br>• Experiment with pattern-making techniques to create your own unique surfaces<br><br>This session is hands-on, playful, and open to all levels. Beginners Wheel Throwing – Level 1 - Term 1
Beginners Wheel Throwing – Level 1<br><br>Ever wanted to try your hand at the pottery wheel? This 5-week beginner course is the perfect place to start. You’ll get step-by-step guidance as you learn how to centre clay, throw simple forms like cups and bowls, and refine them through trimming and handle making. In the final session youll learn to colour your pots with simple glazing techniques, makeing your pots safe and durable for everyday use.<br><br>The course fee of $300 includes all clay, glazes, and firing costs. Each participant can finish and fire up to four pieces, with additional items available to keep at $15 each. Tools are provided for use during class.<br><br>Your finished pottery will be ready for collection around 3–4 weeks after the course.<br><br>Term 1 dates:<br>Saturday 10.00am – 12:30pm<br>February 21st- March 21st<br><br>Maximum 6 participants<br>Ages 13-16 are welcome with a participating adult<br>

Level 2 Wheel Throwing- Term 1
For beginner–intermediate potters<br>This 5-week course is for people who already have some wheel-throwing experience and are ready to build confidence and extend their skills.<br><br>We’ll work with larger amounts of clay, explore new shapes, and pay closer attention to form and proportion. You’ll learn how to make jugs, refine and attach handles, and become more confident shaping your pots — both while throwing and at the leather-hard trimming stage.<br><br>When it comes to glazing, we’ll focus on glaze layering and improving application techniques to help you create more considered, individual surfaces.<br><br>The course includes clay and firings for your first four finished pieces. Any additional items can be fired for a fee of $15 per piece.<br><br>Course Dates:<br>Sunday 10am- 12.30pm<br>Febuary 15th - March 15th

Summer Social Pottery Sessions
Summer Social Pottery Sessions<br><br>Over December and January, I’ll be running relaxed Sunday-morning pottery sessions for anyone who has previously taken a wheel-throwing or handbuilding course with me.<br><br>These sessions are an opportunity to keep learning, practising, and making in a supportive studio environment.<br><br>When: Selected Sundays, 9.30-12.30pm<br><br>December: 7th, 14th and 21st<br>January: 4th, 11th and 18th <br><br>Cost: $40 per session (Clay and firing not included- Clay is available at the studio for purcahe)<br><br>Spaces are limited to 6 at the wheel and 4 at the handbuilding table. <br><br>10-15 year olds must be accompanied by a participating adult<br><br>
